Repetition*

When exploring the concept of "repetition," I aimed to highlight persistent global problems that lack viable solutions. These issues, much like an unjust and dictatorial government, seem to perpetuate despite a collective desire for change. The continued struggle, despite dwindling hopes and mounting fatigue, inspired my project to draw attention to these matters and encourage serious consideration.
I used irony and humor to present these recurring issues, creating a layout that resembles ballot papers to evoke the familiar election process. Each problem was presented in various templates with a humorous and ironic language. To engage the audience, I included an interactive section where individuals could stamp their approval or disapproval. The stamp, labeled with both "yes, please" and "no," ironically always imprinted "yes, please," symbolizing the persistent positive reinforcement of these negative issues.
The underlying message of my project is that despite our choices, the outcomes often remain the same, highlighting the ongoing impact of these problems. My goal is to create a thought-provoking piece that not only draws attention to these critical issues but also encourages action. By blending humor with harsh criticism, I aim to raise awareness and remind people of their indifference to urgent global challenges.
